Storytelling means everything to me. For as long as I can remember, I have found comfort in movies, television, and on stage. Through characters, I have learned about myself, others, and the complexity of feelings. That is why I need to be an actor.
Stories offer us a new perspective on our own lives, showing us not only what we are, but also what we can be. They have always played that role in my life, and when I found out that one can have a career in acting and bringing life to stories, I knew I had to be a part of that for somebody else. If I can be on screen and give even one person the experience of connecting with a character and feeling a bit less alone, That would mean everything to me.
I started acting during my freshman year of high school, to the surprise of my family and friends, some of who told me after my first play that they had never heard me talk so much before. I fell in love with it immediately. Following high school, I found myself in Chicago studying for my BFA in acting at The Theatre School at DePaul University. Coming out of school, I am looking to collaborate and create stories that can affect people with characters they can connect to.
